A New Home?

It is hard to believe that one year ago today Clay and I were moving into our apartment. It is even harder to believe that in a few weeks we will be moving out of it and hopefully into our new home.
God has been so good to the Walkup's. Clay and I didn't think that we would be able to even qualify for a mortgage a few weeks ago- and today we are finishing up negotiations with the foreclosure company and will hopefully be under contract soon.
Leaving the apartment means leaving a way of life that Clay and I have thoroughly enjoyed the past year. Hear are some highlights:
1. No Yard Work
2. No Repairs
3. Living in something that is brand new (which Clay and I had never done before)
4.Feeling Safe in a gated community
5. Being able to leave our windows open due to the second floor location

Here are some things that we are looking forward to not having to live with:
1. Shared Walls
2. First Come First Serve parking lot
3. A walk and stairs in the rain/snow to get to the door
4. No Yard
5. Trash and Cigarettes outside our door
6. A place that is too small to have multiple guests over.
